It's over.

I was in bed for about fifteen minutes before my mom came home and simply said 'Grandma's gone.' I think she's numb because I expected more of a reaction. I have no idea what the rest of the day holds for me. I wanted to ask when the services were going to be so that I could make arrangements at work, but I couldn't even read the expression on mum's face. I wanted to hug her and ask her if she was alright, but I know my mom and it was better for me to come back in here and let her have some time.

I feel so useless.

Grandma, I hope you're finally in a happier place. I know you were struggling for a while and things were rough for you. I never showed it too much, but I loved you.

Rest in peace, Grandma.
