Is it a kind of weakness to miss someone so much?

I had said that I was going to lay in bed and watch a movie, but then something happened. I clicked on a fucking link and I've been sitting here for the last hour or so browsing through people that graduated in the same year I did.

Alumni from my high school and I recognized maybe five of them. Two of those five are on my friends list.

I realize that there are a lot of people on these sites that look for people they went to school with, but the whole idea behind that just boggles my mind. I sat here and I looked through ten pages worth of bullshit. Staring at some of the pictures until feeling that resembled recognition clicked in my head.

Though the more I think about it, it couldn't have possibly been recognition. You would have actually had to be memorable in order for it to be likened to something like that. Chances are that unless you've made some kind of impact in my life (mind you, this includes positive and negative) I have already forgotten you. This is funny to me because I have had so many people come up to me and stare for a moment. After said staring out comes the phrase I've heard too many times:

"You went to Eldorado, didn't you? I think it was Sonia, right?"

I usually stare at them blankly and make some sort of movement that is vaguely reminiscent of a nod.

"And you are...?"

I do seem to remember replying once with a, "Yeah. And your name starts with a D!" Although, this incident was much more recent and I was drunk at the time. Perhaps I pulled that one out of my ass because her name just happened to be Danielle.

At any rate, I'm quite upset that I wasted my time on people that I can't even remember and honestly couldn't give a flying fuck about. And suddenly I have the urge to listen to 'Birthday Cake'. Thank you Cibo Matto for programming my brain to listen to your music everytime I hear the phrase 'Flying Fuck'.
